What We Do

The Harmony Historical Society is located in Blockville, NY, which is on Route 474 between Ashville and Panama. The society was established in 1972 to serve the community and preserve local history. It serves the Towns of Harmony and North Harmony which originally was called the Town of Harmony.

The Society maintains six buildings at its Open Meadows Road location. They are a one-room schoolhouse, an 1840's furnished farmhouse, a weaving shed, a barn with local artifacts, a storage shed, and a meeting hall. The Society has a library wher people can do geneology work and other research.

Another Successful Harvest Festival

Thank you to all our volunteers for making our Harvest Festival so successful this year. We had a wonderful weekend - large crowds came out to enjoy all the events. The book sale continues to grow and we did very well with quilting sales and food sales.

We're looking forward to next year's event already!
