Historical Marker Unveiling
Ron Moore, the Trapp family and Harmony Historical Society invite you to join us at the unveiling of the historical marker commemorating local legend, Waldo P. Stanford.
This site is where Mr. Stanford cultivated and harvested from his orchards, herb and vegetable gardens to make select preserves which he sold throughout the area in the 1960s and 1970s.
He was well known as the “Jelly Man”, riding his bicycle delivering preserves or gathering fruit.
He was more than just a hobby gardener. He was a chemist and botanist. He served his country during World War I as a Farm Cadet and served during World War II.
